Biography
Born in the capital of Augusteion, Tiberus was raised in the slums for a large part of his childhood. At the age of 11 he was kidnapped by a local cult of necromancers who sought to bargain his soul with the
Ideal Masters. Tiberus was saved by Simeon's Oculus Penthar and recruited by the
Inquisition. He quickly grew through their ranks, showing remarkable strength in battle and wits in tactics. It did not take long for Simeon's Inquisitor General Waltus to raise the adolescent to be his successor.
In the year 1427, Tiberus succeeds his former teacher and becomes the new Inquisitor General of the Inquisition. Although Tiberus was long known for his seafaring skills, it was his decisive defeat of the
Corinthian fleet and
Myrtanian fleet at the battle of Koron for which he is relished. It is believed Simeon truly grew to see Tiberus' potential after the battle, signing his will and naming Tiberus his successor to be.
In 1431, Simeon Vardenfell signs over the command of the Inquisition to Tiberus, naming him the new High Inquisitor. Tiberus is honored by his decision, although not all take the decision lightly. It has been long since a non-mage has commanded the Inquisition forces and many had believed Inquisitor Penthar to be the rightful heir to the position. Since Penthar deeply respected his mentor he acknowledges Tiberus as new High Inquisitor, although deep-down he is furious. Nevertheless, Tiberus commands the Inquisition forces from henceforth with a tactful mind, investing once more in the spy-network of the Inquisition, the fleet and their standing army. He leaves the mages under command of Penthar as a peace offering, bothering himself rarely with their research.
