Tyush, Raron trading market

a raron trading market

Established in the arm of the river that connects Lake Raro to the sea, just south of the Paban mountains, this trading market facilitates the vast majority of trade between the Raron people and the Veinhouses. Unyozeo is Raro's biggest export and the majority of trade with it happens in Tyush.

Architecture

Tyush consists of several open-air markets along the docks of Lake Raro that lead up to the rivers that the Veinhouses use for transportation. Stalls are set up to display artisan crafts and food exports in equal measure.

History

Tyush began as a regular meeting point between Rarite people and Sela people when they first expanded into each other's territory. It became immediately apparent that the two groups of people could exchange resources and strengthen their communities. Later, permanent installations were added to facilitate trade on an ongoing basis. While individual vendors come and go, there are several that have remained for generations.

Keeru

A Raron family-run operation of ru farmers joined with a Kaloran farming community and the two sell their high-quality ru together in the same popular stall.

Ngung

This stall stocks many different fish meant for consumption, but it is more often remembered for the grilled ig syujemaa that they offer for free to children.

Papokhu

A Kaloran ice shop that trades flavored ice in exchange for decorative objects for the Kaloran Veinhouse located in Tiyo. The flavored ice is infused with Veinmagic to make it extra delicious and to only melt when in someone's mouth.
