Baldwin V
Baldwin IV was killed by the savage Orcs in battle leaving an empty throne.
Having married ELLENA QUINTA the daughter of MORDECAI COUNT OF HARZ, she bore his son Baldwin V who was born shortly after his death. Mordecai was a weak regent, and the Vuls began to invite in more new migrants. The Vul areas were growing in population and power. Their calls for autonomy were only quelled by Mordecai's arranging a marriage between Baldwin V and Cora the daughter of the Vul's Jarl MAEL IGORSON. Baldwin V's reign did not have a chance to set a tone for a new united Aachen, as he died fighting orc incursions in 1261 at the age of 19 at the BATTLE OF BLACK MOUNTAIN.
