Alyssane Valdwyn

Alyssane Valendwell (née Valdwyn) is the youngest daughter of Edmond Valdwyn, wife of Lord Silas Valendwell, and mother of Dunstan, Gemma and Lewyn Valendwell.

History

Early Life

Princess Alyssane Valdwyn was born in the Royal Palace in Ravensport, the last child to be born to King Edmond Valdwyn's line. As fourth in the line of succession to the Kingdom of Avalon, Alyssane was not afforded the traditional education of the Avalonian Heir-Apparent, but rather was expected to marry one of the King Edmond's vassals. At an early age, Alyssane Valdwyn was promised to Silas of House Valendwell, an old Avalonian house and staunch crown loyalists. The two lived happily for several years in the capital city of Ravensport, where Alyssane gave birth to her three children.

Life and Arrest in Galedeep

In the Winter of 290 AM, Lord Silas Valendwell was dispatched to Galedeep, the capital of the Themnar Imperium as part of a trade delegation. Princess Alyssane and her children accompanied her husband to the Themnari port-city. The family lived peacefully in the city for five years, until the Themnar Imperium declared war on the Kingdom of Avalon. In the advent of the declaration, Themnari forces attacked the estate that housed the Avalonian delegation. The delegation's guards were able to put Lord Silas and his children on a ship for Ravensport. During the attack, Princess Alyssane had been spending the afternoon in the countryside, at a local vineyard. Alyssane's guard, led by Knights-Protectorate Sir Lindon Talhart, attempted to spirit the young princess out of the Imperium, however, their forces were intercepted and the princess was placed under house arrest.

Return to Ravensport

Following the end of the Themnar-Avalonian War in 296 AM, Princess Alyssane was returned to Ravensport as part of Prince Alfred V's deal with the Themnar Imperium to return their hostages of noble blood. The Princess now resides in Ravensport, as a staunch supporter of Prince Alfred's claim to the throne, and is a major advocate of continued political cooperation with the Themnar Imperium.
