Dol Gulder

This forest keep is named for the high hedge that surrounds it, and means Brown Hay.  It was originally built by the allies as a southern vantage point to observe the activities of Sauron and his people.  It was situation in the Southern part of Mirkwood in response to the devastation of the lands south of the forest that are now known as the Brown Lands.  At the wars conclusion, it along with many other forts built to thwart Sauron, where abandoned.   Sometime in the first milennia of the THIRD AGE a source of evil started there.  This malevolent spirit grew slowly over the years spreading it's corruption throughout Mirkwood.  The WHITE COUNCIL eventually identified this spirit as Sauon himself and while the fate of Smaug, The Magnificent  and Northern Wilderland was playing out around the The Lonely Mountain the council was dealing with the Necromancer of Dol Gulder as Sauron was calling himself.  He has fled and now we need to determine where he has fled to and what needs to be done next.
