Chit'khron was the first person to reunite most of the Nephilim since its destruction after the Deranoran conquest. As a gnome, Chit'khron had a cultural distaste for humans and what he saw as their arrogant, self-serving ways. Due to relatively recent history and growing human expansion of the time, it was to be expected that this idea was especially supported, but for him, this distaste grew to beyond extreme. To eradicate "the human tyranny", Chit'khron used the Nephilim in his very own way, by twisting living beings (especially humans) into new forms and human-animal hybrids.
Chit'khron (or Goron) was the first person to reunite most of the Nephilim since its destruction after the Deranoran conquest. As a gnome, Chit'khron had a cultural distaste for humans and what he saw as their arrogant, self-serving ways. Due to relatively recent history and growing human expansion of the time, it was to be expected that this idea was especially supported, but for him this distaste grew to beyond extreme. To eradicate "the human tyranny", Chit'khron used the Nephilim in his very own way, by twisting living beings (especially humans) into new forms and human-animal hybrids. Among his creations were orcs, mermaids, satyrs and ogres. Chit'khron was overthrown by an uneasy alliance between the human civilisations. This alliance was never truly disbanded, but left behind the Sentinel Council to protect humanity from any outside threats. Chit'khron's reign of terror ultimately had the opposite effect and made humanity stronger and less allowing of other races in their age, especially gnomes. Gnomes, though innocent of Chit'khron's lust for destruction, now live far more secluded and away from civilisation. Thanks to enslavement and violence, gnomes are now even more scattered and distasteful towards humans. Chit'khron's creations still roam the world. Especially mermaids have remained safe from human purges. Orcs have been banished to Auchorica and now live around the Orcen Fjord with dragons and other things considered dangerous vermin to humans. Many of the other creations are not as lucky to have been recognised as worthy of living. Some are extinct, some hunted and seen from time to time and some are intelligent enough to seek shelter with dwarves or deep inside forests where they can hide.
