Emperor Maradius II of Deranor is recognised as the greatest tyrant in the history of Myr. As the creator of the legendary Nephilim, he actively endeavoured to overthrow the gods themselves. The Deranoran Empire was among other crimes guilty of mass murdering several peoples, enslaving many others and conquering most of the Eastern world from Luricia to Fangador. Maradius was eventually overthrown by the northern dwarves when these devout followers of the Pantheon broke the Nephilim's banishment of the gods and gave them the power to shatter the Nephilim.   According to myth, his followers were banished to the Underworld. The rest of the world was punished for failing to stand up to him with a thousand year silence from the gods.   To this day, the defeat of Maradius is still celebrated under the name of Gods's Dawn, since then the first day of the modern day.
