In 3049, the land bridge connecting Auchorica to Luricia unexpectedly drowned into the sea. The whole of the civilisation known as Becai was submerged with few survivors and many smaller lands and parts of other Lurician territories were lost to the sea. Even the Wildering Wilds suffered a heavy loss of land. An earthquake and tsunami followed and destroyed much of what was not submerged. The areas around what became known as the Broken Sea are still to this day unsafe and lined with crevices and to this day. Earthquakes are a regular thing in most of Luricia ever since this event.
