Feldrin
Here we are at last! The city of dragons, of fine wood, and of well-made weapons. Still standing strong against the elements, war, and famine. It is truly a wonder to behold, and many who come here never leave. You are in for a treat.

Demographics
A smattering of all races, largely middle-class citizens. A few upper crust homes and a couple of slums.
Government
The City Lord runs everything with the help of the People's Court, a coalition made up of all the guilds in the city which advise the lord on how best to enact laws. Interpreters and Lawkeepers then enforce and interpret the law with the help of the local garrison of the Amber Army.
Defences
Several rings of high walls encircling various portions of the city and extending outward. The inner walls are older and taller, having been added on to by subsequent generations. There are tall watchtowers throughout the city with giant crossbows and heavy iron bolts ready to be loaded by the watchmen.
Industry & Trade
Merchants thrive here, and fine goods, especially clothing and armaments are sent from Feldrin to other parts of the country. Food comes in from the outer farms, and there is a thriving woodcutting and carpentry operation due to the Ashwood Forest. Ashwood itself is a great commodity, and is prepared for shipment to buyers in several of the large towns and cities of Ardent.

History
Feldrin was started as a small farming community that quickly grew into a larger city when the citizens began to make use of the local Ashwood resources. The town quickly grew in size, attracting craftsmen and smiths, and all kinds of wealth. Then, when it seemed like nothing could stop the growth, the dragons came. Three large dragons rained fire down upon the city for several hours, torching all the wooden structures and toppling the stone buildings. The people were forced to flee into the nearby forest for shelter and many were killed attempting to escape. The dragons terrorized the countryside for several months before they were killed and the settlement could be rebuilt. After 500 years the event has become legendary, and to this day, the dragons' marks can be seen on some of the older buildings. And the oldest district of the city is still referred to as the Dragon District.
