Aneiren was born in a nomadic tribe wandering the land that would someday become Shalden. She was chosen at an early age by the aging Priestess of the tribe, and raised as an acolyte of Vi-Serin, eventually taking up the mantle of Priestess after her mentor's passing. As Priestess, Aneiren held a position of power in the tribe, but the war chief was often unwilling to listen to anyone other than himself, and she had to learn how to manipulate into listening to the will of the moon spirit.  One day, she received a message from the moon goddess, telling her that the people of her land were mired in darkness, tasking Aneiren with uniting them, finally leading them into the light. The war chief was not thrilled by the idea of a change in the status quo, but he was thrilled by the idea of bringing more tribes and people under his sway, and began to embark on a campaign against his neighbors, relying on Aneiren's insight to tell him who to focus on first. At first, Aneiren was thrilled that the warlord had at least partially listened to her counsel, and was certain that with time she could bring him thoroughly around. But as time went on she began to realize this was not the case. The warlord became more and more enamored with his newfound power, conquering and enslaving increasing amounts of people. Growing increasingly frustrated by his priestess' pleading for mercy, the war chief eventually ordered her removed from his presence, threatening to kill her if she ever mentioned the words of her vision again. That night, Aneiren tearfully prayed for forgiveness, knowing she had failed her goddess, and was answered by yet another vision. This time Vi-Serin showed Aneiren a new future, one in which warlords were no longer needed, and the priestess awoke rejuvenated, knowing what she must do. She poisoned the warlord's dinner, taking his position as leader of the tribe, and eventually bringing her vision to fruition. Listening continuously to the guidance of Vi-Serin, she finally brought all the tribes of Shalden together, eventually marrying one of the final tribal leaders in the ultimate act of unity, creating a dynasty that would survive for the next 600 years. Aneiren would go on to rule Shalden for nearly 300 years, and died in her bed atop the Silver Tower, gazing upon the face of her beloved Vi-Serin. She remains one of the most beloved rulers of Shalden to this day.
