Enthnicites in Dungeons and Dragons doesn't work in the same way as we'd possibly expect. A diverse ray of races can subscrribe to a singular ethnicity and have deviations within the very same ethnicity group as a result. Afterall, a Setessan Leonin will have different values when compared to a Setessan Human and this is because of how Leonins can trace their ancestry back towards Oreskos, and while they may now be far removed and consider themselves a fellow Setessan, other Leonin traditions and cultures (for example naming conventions) may preside over their Setessan values and counterparts.

This differs from Nationality, because these cultural norms are far more influencial than political constraints and citizenship rights
