Asona
Asona is the mother of dragons and Goddess of the Moon, her first creation on Mythrailia was the Mercury Dragon. This majestic beast was known to be whimsical, and delightfully unpredictable. It was an adored symbol of her power amongst the first peoples in Mythrailia, this made Rhathos jealous of the attention it garnered her and lashed out at the creation itself. This attack caused a fragment in its soul which Rhathos used a fragment of to create Black Dragons the first of the Chromatic dragons. This has caused mental instability within every Mercury dragon that has ever descended from the first.
Heartbroken over her creations the attack on her beautiful creation she gave more of herself to create Gold, Silver, Platinum, Bronze and Copper dragons and bound a portion of their souls of that to the mercury to help defend it from the onslaught of the extremely aggressive black dragons that were created from its soul. It is thought the original Mercury dragon was killed by the black dragon shortly after she bore her first clutch, fathered by the original platinum dragon forever binding their bloodlines together.
Asona was first child of Athos and Trexia along with her twin brother Rhathos. When they were both born Athos gifted the night and shadows to his son and Trexia hung the moon in the sky for her daughter Asona, they were to balance each other out. Rhathos the night and Asona the light within the darkness.
The two have dueled throughout eternity in a never-ending sibling rivalry - the shadows threatening to swallow the moon before she pushes him back to shine bright for all to see.
