Gabriela
She was known throughout the plane for her compassion and closeness to her mortal wards. There were many in the pantheon that questioned her leniency and love for those she was supposed to be guiding, as a guardian - not as a friend. These were the best times in her life when she married Castor who was a Celestial of Odum.
Life was perfect with those under her tutelage flourishing and her life among her people one of bliss. That was until the demon wars changed life for everyone across all the planes of existence and pitted the upper planes against lower. This war spanned over a millennia as the war between the two immortal forces spilled into the material plane trying to send each other back to their own plane where they could be slain. Gabriela had distinguished herself as the Shield of Asona, the greatest warrior in the moon goddesses pantheon.
But then the first cataclysm came.
The first cataclysm caught even the gods off guard as the Lich King launched his first offensive against the living of the world. The grand wizard in the human capital obliterated all living things for hundreds of miles corrupting the land itself causing it to tether itself to the Lich King himself. Even the demons agreed this had to be stopped, it was bad for business. The Shield of Asona herself that struck what everyone thought was the final blow casting the Lich King out and destroying his first phylactery.
The war had been hard on her, having lost several Aasimar over the years of fighting, but she never lost faith and was proud of each and every one of them. She enjoyed a nice life after a millenia of war followed by the cataclysm. She took time out and settled down with Castor and have a wonderful child named Hattlee a talented young celestial in her own right. Hattlee was an instant hit and had an almost prodigious grasp of magical concepts that even Gabriela did not have skill with. She also enjoyed the time as the hero of both the upper and lower planes for putting an end to the scourge.... Until the second cataclysm.
The entity everyone called the Lich King had laid dormant for hundreds of years. This time he had learned from his past mistakes and nearly succeeded. It was only by a desperate ploy by the elves and Hattlee did they manage to push back the scourge yet again. At humanities last minutes Hattlee allowed a group of powerful wizard bind her mind as a focus for a spell to create a massive time lock on many miles of what is now known as the infernal void. No one knows how many countless times the adventurers they sent in died failing to kill the undead king. But after many attempts they finally managed to break through. But not before Hattlee's mind was broken in the process.
Gabriela's beautiful daughter would never be the same again, it would take her centuries before she was even be fit to guide a ward again. The effects of this on Gabriela could not be understated, the loving compassionate guardian of Asona stopped fostering any more Aasimar, focusing on helping her daughter recover the tattered mind that had been pushed past it's limits. During this time Gabriela learned even the immortals are not invulnerable. The fact that it was undead that caused this to Hattlee caused a severe strain on her relationship with Castor a celestial of the god of undeath.
Shortly after Hattlee took her first ward again the other shoe fell sadly. The third and final known cataclysm struck the world again. Hoping to make up for previous ineffectiveness it did not take long for Odum himself to take the field as the Lich King had grown even more in power this third time. The third cataclysm only lasted 5 years, it ended in the heart of the void with Odum clashing with the Lich whose power had grown beyond even the god's. Gabriela was push back by an entire flight of dracolich and she watched as Odum made the ultimate sacrifice releasing his divine power to eradicate the Lich King for has turned out to be the final time.
Less than a year after she watched as her husband slowly descended into madness with the loss of his god. Then slipped into complete corruption as the Demon Elrazak was born before her eyes and she had to send him to hell.
