The infamous Mistress of the Keep of Four Worlds and once partner to Brand, the Queen Dowager of Berma has a colorful history in the lore of Amber. Active both for and against Merlin during his assension to King of the Courts of Chaos she lost, and then with his help regained control of the powerful Keep of the Four Worlds. Once she had consolidated her hold there, she surrendured the leadership of Begma to her son Rinaldo and focused her efforts on the Keep and the founding of the Begman Trade Authority, which she has built up to a force rivaling that of Amber itself.
