Primordial Origins

There are four primordial origins for a Genasi that dictate appearance and magical capabilities. The four types are spread all across Mytkora.

Air Genasi

Born of the Elemental Plane of Storms, Air Genasi have an innate connection to lightning and frost. Their skin is one of many shades of blue or white and tend to have billowing hair that seems to be eternally flowing in the wind. The air is cooler around them and sometimes crackles with static electricity.

Elemental Resistance

You have resistance to either cold or lightning damage.

Wind Surge

Your movement speed increases to 35 feet. Additionally, when you take the Dash action on your turn, you gain 20ft of flying speed. You cannot be held aloft in this way for long. If you end your turn midair, you fall to the ground immediately and take fall damage accordingly.

Unending Breath

Graceful Descent

Once per long rest, you may cast the Feather Fall spell without expending a spell slot.

Earth Genasi

Darkvision

You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You cannot discern colors in that darkness, only shades of gray.

Stone's Fortitude

You have resistance to poison damage, and saving throws made to resist the poisoned condition are done so at advantage.

Earth Walk

If you are on the ground using your walking speed, you ignore nonmagical difficult terrain.

Yparxian Abjuration

You learn the Blade Ward spell and can cast it a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You regain all expended uses upon finishing a long rest.

Fire Genasi

Born of the Elemental Plane of Flame, Fire Genasi have a strong connection to the dangerous and beautiful element that they can channel in many ways. Their skin is generally one of hundreds of shades of red, but can also be a deep charcoal with fiery cracks along the surface. Their hair can resemble wispy smoke or threads of fire.

Elemental Resistance

You have resistance to fire damage.
