Arseth (ar-SETH) is an ursine creature composed of the chromatic light of older, larger stars, whose journey to Myzelis took them through the far realms from a distant, unknown sky. They hold dominion over elders and the wisdom of age and experience, and are part of Gylidd’s traditions regarding the importance of parenthood, responsibility, and family. They appear as a universe of hundreds of galaxies swirling about within the skin of a towering, vigilant old bear. They are known as the Mother Bear, a spirit of protection and love. Of the three ursine constellations that serve as Gylidder Patrons, Arseth is the most approachable, the most patient, and the most beloved. Much of the non-warlock population of Gylidd is familiar with her, having at least one carving or lovely token of her presence in their homes. Sailors and travelers in the area know that Arseth is ever visible to the south, and her presence keeps them safely on the leylines as they navigate across, to and from the island.
