Brumewood

This massive coniferous woodland covers nearly the entire eastern half of the island, stretching over two hundred miles from north to south and nearly half that wide. The forest contains innumerable biomes, and each one is full of hundreds of unique species. Throughout the history of the island, many have attempted to settle new towns and cities within the forest or along the rivers that cut through it, but each attempt has been foiled by the Brume. Vrokíva seems adamant that any settlement larger than a few buildings can not and will not stand. The most recent of these involved a major settlement created by the dead power of The Master, who forcibly occupied the eastern shoreline with a sprawling dungeon complex for 300 years until 0 AE, when the chimes of the The Wrenjers of Gylidd destroyed his dungeon and ended him.    Exploration of the Brumewood is possible, if proper chiminage and respect is shown to the Brume and to the Greyfaith that tend to it, and careful explorers have gone as far as sailing from the eastern coast without incident.
