Triton

Tritons are an amphibious people, at home in the water but mobile on dry land. Their bodies are covered in fine scales that range from yellowish-green through shades of blue to deep purple. Their heads are crowned with prominent crests, and fins sprout from their forearms, calves, and shoulders. Their digits are webbed, allowing them to swim as quickly as they can run.

Gylidder Tritons

Channel Watchers: the Northern and Southern Grand Canals are - like many of the superstructures left from the Age of Stone - immense beyond mortals' ability to replicate. But unlike the width of the canals, their depth is harder for surfacers to fathom - their perfectly square dimensions stretch hundreds of feet below the waterline. Over the millennia they have become home to a vast array of aquatic life uniquely suited to the lazy flow, but so too have they come to harbor the vast majority of the tritons that call Gylidd their home. These tritons have been steadfast defenders of Gylidd Syn Aethri since the first founding, and have well-established allies from long before the Age of Stone when their people occupied the waters of the Binding Sea. They are the undisputed keepers of the Gylidder Navy, and their leader - the whaleriding Admiral Kuen M'baba - has been their captain of choice for many decades.
