Tzokouda (zoh-KOO-dah) is an ursine creature composed of the white light of young, vibrant stars, whose journey to Myzelis took them through the far realms from a distant, unknown sky. They hold dominion over the youth and innocence of spring and mystery, and are part of Gylidd Island's traditions regarding the importance of renewal, child rearing, and play. They appear as a whirling constellation of hundreds of stars bound within the skin of a young, curious bear cub. They are known as the Baby Bear, a spirit of whimsy and playfulness. Over the last several hundred years, a shadowy, unidentified creature wearing a long black cloak has been seen retrieving lost and endangered children from the street or abusive homes and depositing them at orphanages of excellent repute all across Gylidd. Though their true identity is a mystery, the people of Gylidd refer to them as Inaelyn (“Spirit of the People”), Tzokouda’s Champion.
