Vykdramir Dauddraig is a greatwyrm shadow dragon infused with the elemental essence of the noble Ignan, who lives beneath the Heartwood Forest of Gylidd Syn Aethri itself within a massive chamber called the “Blackheart,” through which the magics of the leylines converge and flow forth from the heart of the planet. They hold dominion over the depths of the Underdark, over the heat of the planet’s magma and deepest shadow, and are the advocate for all creatures who struggle to live in its inhospitable reaches. Vykdramir appears as a colossal shadow dragon with a lower body and wings made of embered smoke.
They are also known as the Lord of the Blackheart, and are bound by the ley magics to a massive deposit of magical obsidian that has the power to trap souls - although Vykdramir has yet to reveal whether their binding is accidental or deliberate. They are one of the four Elemental Dragons of Gylidd whose history extends back to the beginning of the written word during the Inaethrite Era, establishing a presence on the island well before the construction of Gylidd Syn Aethri.
As a hexblade patron, Vykdramir invests their power in the magical obsidian of the Blackheart, which is as strong as any steel. In its purest form, it could snatch the souls of the living before they even know they’re dead.
