Nschaed
The most common ethnic group amongst humans in Joorduunim Major. Nschaed are battle hardened descendants of the sea faring humans that conquered the eastern land mass known as Joorduunim. The Nschaeds are a strong but fair people who live under banner and worship of their celestial gods. As a people they are hardy dwellers of a harsh landscape. They are well versed in the wilderness and the dangers it provides.
Nschaed have pale but tough skin. Shaped from enduring colder climates, and many hours at sea. Their hair is fine and ranges through the entire spectrum of human hair color. Nschaed tend on the more muscular side with the majority of their kin adept at physical labor. As a result they are very self sufficient and distrustful of magic.

Family names
Family names vary depending on the region of origin. Typically the maternal parents profession will determine your family name. That is with two exceptions. Jarl lineage will identify a last name based on their clan specific title, and warriors or explorers will take up their mothers name followed by their own gender such as Janeson, or Janesdaughter.

Culture and cultural heritage
As a human people they descend from a variety of influences. In particularly the influence of Mt. Celestia, and Hell have shaped Nschaed closely to reflect the conflicts of the Planar Stack. They are the first humans who landed on Joorduunim Major.
Shared customary codes and values
Most adhere to a code of law that teach a sort of military style value. No one is left behind, and honor over cowardice. Xenophobia exists particularly thanks to conflict between Tieflings, and Elves though most of this tension has settled towards distrust rather than racial violence. Primary worship goes toward the Celestial Titan, and some of the Celestial gods. You will be hard pressed to find a sanctioned full castor character.
Common Etiquette rules
Nschaed care little for what many others consider to be etiquette. That said they are very much honor bound and love living life on the edge. Many Nschaed are self first, family second, and clan third. With regards to respect gender is on equal ground, but age, and height are on higher standing than youth and thin.
Common Dress code
Furs, and armor. Very practical in dress climate depending. Many braid their hair. Their casters dress lighter and exhibit traits that are counter intuitive to what you would expect from your average Nschaed. Martial Nschaed tend to dress in pants, and casters dress in robes, dresses, and the like.
Art & Architecture
Nschaed make use of the abundant wood, and animal parts in their designs. Their architecture is similar to Viking design in the form of log cabins, and fur tents.
Coming of Age Rites
When a child comes of age he or she must spend two days alone in the wilderness and come back with proof of killing some kind of wild animal. Failure to do so will result in non recognition as an adult to the Nschaed clans, determined by a tattoo of the clans symbol.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Warriors are set ablaze on wooden boats, while the rest are buried in the earth or in crypts usually as a means to protect something or some one.

Ideals
Beauty Ideals
Symmetry is perfection to a Nschaed, typical hair styles and clothing have identical patterns on each side of the form. As a hardy people, scars of combat are considered the up most beauty. Braids are popular hair styles for Nschaed. They consider taller and stronger individuals to be more attractive, bringing along with it qualities such as bravery and resilience. Most Nschaed men grow facial hair.
Gender Ideals
Nschaed woman hold a place of political power amongst the Nschaed. While men remain of equal footing in the cultural climate of their ranks, celestial influence has dubbed the arcane more of a feminine practice. As such while men are not forbidden from practicing magic, they tend to prefer the martial approach. As a result woman accelerate faster in social ranks, and take on leadership roles, while men gravitate towards protectors.
