Final Destiny Session XXXIX
General Summary
ACT I
Yaoguai Qing greets her mother, Yoraloth Qing to tell her that he is safe and that they won the war. He tells her that Jiang is safe in Morioh and that he's heading to Etin, to investigate the Tamashī sightings. Rozhn Kiru goes to the library to learn more about Karito. Afterward, he is talking to his trainer, 'Lieutenant General' Nela, when suddenly Kasula Heiwarin appears. They all get into an argument before departing. Rook Graves goes to the blacksmith to uncover the nature of Korosu Jibun's sword. He is told that it was made in Banehold, especially fashioned for Korosu. They depart for Etin after talking to King Ox about Strixhaven Academy. On their way there they encounter a large skeleton representing Crazy Bones; he sells Rozhn a sports drink. As the party arrives in Etin they start asking around local taverns, asking if people have seen suspicious figures. As they wander the town, a book titled, "A Brief History of the Qing Dynasty", by Jodi Evenvale. They enter the shop and banter with her before she reveals to them that she is a divination wizard. She guides the party to talk to some homeless people. They gather enough information to know that Tamashī is most likely hiding in Mordenkainen's Tavern. As they enter, Rozhn purchases a Pipe of Smoke Monsters. The shopkeeper gets agitated when he realizes that Rozhn is in his shop. He reveals himself as a Cultist of Ares and begins to fight with the party with two other cultists. The party swiftly defeats them as they advance towards the attic. Upstairs is a mess, Juniper is able to determine that a fight happened here. Rook peers through the keyhole and teleports through it to see Kage Kossori at her desk. She chats with him before he teleports back out of the room. Rozhn grabs a chair to bard the door close, but shadowed hands pry it open as Kage stares down at them.
ACT II
Ptekal and Harry Steele inch closer through the beating dessert of Carrossel. Ptekal disguises himself as a human while Harry disguises himself as a Janitor. The guard hands them the news as he allows them entry. They make their way to the Church of Amaunator as they are told that it is closed. The Arbiter of Amaunator is having a meeting inside so nobody is allowed in. They spend the night in an inn and walk back the following day. The guards are very drowsy and delirious as they claim the meeting is still happening. Ptekal and Harry wait for them to become tired enough for them to pass through. They recite the phrases that line the temple grounds to no response. Eventually, they trek downstairs to see several people having a meeting. Among the people there are The Shadowfell King, Uzz Woeskin, Eurusa the Typhoon, Zozzomur, The Arbiter of Amaunator, and The Leader of The True Nation of Biorno. They seem to be waiting for someone named F.S. Ptekal embeds his glaive into the middle of the alter and the two wait for high noon. At high noon Amaunator reveals himself to the duo. He banters with them and claims that this is the last temple Ptekal must visit. He tells Ptekal he must get stronger and that Harry can join him if he chooses. He whisks them both away to the Beastlands, otherwise known as the Happy Hunting Grounds.
