Final Destiny Session XXXV

General Summary

The Noble Nine Now Hiring continue their voyage with Captain Kiara as two pirates approach them, asking if they would like to participate in a card game known as Helm of Fate. The gold pool rises to 125 gold as they start to play. While they play, Rozhn Kiru watches, and Harry Steele observes everyone's hands to ensure there is no foul play involved. As more and more people are eliminated, Rook Graves emerges victorious. While shuffling the deck to play a second round, Captain Kiara interrupts them and tells them to get to work. As everyone gets to their day-to-day activities, Yi and Harry read about the Planes and the Inverted Text of the Depths. The ship suddenly stops in the middle of the ocean, to everyone's surprise. Kiara calls everyone to the top deck to explain that they're going to need to dive underwater for Nautilus Shells. She explains that this will speed up the boat, helping them reach their destination in time. Everyone who can't breathe underwater is given a Breathing Cap by First Mate Clow. Before they dive, Ptekal enhances his glaive, which allows him to fight underwater. As they dive down, some of the party members realize that something is lurking in the depths with them. While Rook Graves, Yaoguai Qing, and Rozhn Kiru harvest the Nautilus Shell, the great beast stalks them. The rest of the party engages in combat with it as the Shell is retrieved. They all swim back to the surface, yelling at Kiara for not alerting them that a beast was nearby. She apologizes and describes the creature as a Crokek'toeck.
