Once, in a land called the Emarisa Lands, there lived a kind lady and a brave man. They always wanted a daughter. They prayed and prayed—and then they had a baby! It was a girl! They were very happy.
They named their beautiful daughter Emeralda Kaninia, which meant "star". She was very healthy, and by the time she was five she could outrun her father. She wanted a big adventure!
One day, she ventured out into the unknown lands. Suddenly, there was some rustling from behind a bush and a mean-looking troll stepped out and pointed at her.
