Hopestealer

Hopestealers were a form of demon most common hundreds of years ago when they overran the dwarven civilization deep underground. Even larger than gorillas, they tower above dwarves and humans alike.
Though their most dangerous feature in direct combat is their immense size and staggering strength, their ominous name comes from their other notable ability - Hopestealers can detect mortal life from hundreds of feet away. With only animalistic intelligence and a ceaseless hunger, they hunt and slaughter mortals until there are is only a field of dismembered limbs and blood.
