Underdark

The Underdark the name of the vast network of tunnels and subterranean caverns that exist below the world's surface. It is a widely known, but scarcely understood place by most surface dwellers, and is said to contain many strange creatures and dangers. It is also known as Ner Varekoth to dwarves, a name in ancient Dwarvish which roughly translates to "The Deepest Trench".

Undersea

Deep underground, there exists a vast ocean unlike any the world knows above ground. Like the caverns of the underground, it connects across the world in a strange spiderweb. A small pond might be miles deep, and connected to untold numbers of other caverns and underwater currents. In those dark waters, creatures of the deep live. Beings that have never seen light, massive fish that dwarf ships, and the aboleths. It is said that the Undersea is the portal to the Deep Dark, where Ilvesha guards the treasures lost at sea on the surface.

Fauna & Flora

The strange creatures of the Underdark make for popular tall tales for surface dwellers, but the most widely known creatures that came from the Underdark are Dwarves. Pushed from the Underdark long ago, they brought truths of the underdark along with them.
