Mental characteristics
Personal history
Queen Lecina of House Tourneur was a Sokolan queen reigning from 2923 EC to 2980 EC before granting the throne to her son, Cyrille.
When the dwarves living under the Katarine Heights were driven from their underground homes, Queen Lecina was instrumental in helping them found and construct the dwarven city-state of Strossenberg. Under her direction, Sokol gave aid in the form of funding, food and supplies, as well as military protection for the fledgling nation.
The two nations grew incredibly close both during and after her reign.
She spent her final years in Strossenberg among the dwarves, and passed away in 2993 EC. Her funeral procession made a multiple week journey and marched from the Strossenberg city gates back to her home in the Sokolan capital. The day of her death has since been made a national remembrance holiday in Strossenberg, and she remains venerated by the Stross people to this day.
Sexuality
Lecina was known to be something of a romantic - though her serious demeanor in ruling her kingdom suggested otherwise - and had partners of all genders.
Social
Family Ties
Lecina never married, but had twins with an unknown partner. Her son, Cyrille, was granted the crown. Her daughter Cécilia was drawn more to the military, and became a well respected general - though one that had little active military exploits to be noted.
Speculation over the father of her children was common fare for noble gossip circles both during and after her rule. Rumors ranged from various nobles of her court to a vast array foreign dignitaries. Some suggested that she may have had her children with one of the women of her court using magic. Less kind rumors purport that she hid her children's parentage because she made a deal with a devil.
Whether her children or anyone else knew, it was a closely guarded secret and eventually interest died down.
Social Aptitude
Lecina was a kind and generous ruler that held little patience for those who stood in the way of improving the kingdom. Keen negotiation and massive support from the common people allowed her to erode the support of several great houses of Sokol, rewarding the nobles that supported her with the remnants of their assets.
She willingly ceded control of much of the Katarine Heights to the newly founded Strossenberg. Her generosity paid off with many years of strong trade and close relations between the two nations.
