Matron Anzhela (Anz-hee-lah)
Matron Henriette Anzhela
Matron Anzhela is a well respected mage living in Ansvine. She is regarded in The Cradle as a skilled mage, and largely the reason that the city of Ansvine exists as it currently does.
She has taken many students over her long life, exclusively training women - her distaste of interacting with men is well known. Though she takes few students, many still flock to Ansvine as a center of arcane education, trade, and research.

Personal history
Henriette Anzhela came to a small struggling town on the Nuewe river some time in early 3900 EC. The town had recently suffered a great plague, killing many of the townsfolk that had been trying to make a living near the smugglers den to the north. She gathered what remained of the town, and took them to the west bank of the river to resettle. From the survivors, she picked a few promising individuals who became her first students.
The town rebuilt around her home, and several generations of students learned magic under Anzhela. Eventually, it was renamed to Ansvine to honor her.
