Rock Lilac

Rock Lilac is an herb that has found use across the continent as a contraceptive aid. When brewed into a tea and consumed regularly, Rock Lilacs can induce a temporary infertility and sterility in their user. These effects take several days to begin, and wear off several weeks after an individual stops drinking Rock Lilac tea regularly.   Rock Lilacs are native to Veczi, and have spread across the continent in specialized gardens.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Rock Lilacs are a hardy, gangly looking plant that blooms into small pink petals just before winter. It thrives in rocky terrain and partial shade, where it generally has little competition. It has difficulty growing in warm grassy areas where other plants will strangle its roots.   When kept at the proper temperature, rock lilacs take exceedingly well to being grown in simple pots filled with stone and water.   The root of the Rock Lilac is the key ingredient for creating the contraceptive tea. When boiled and steeped in water, an earthy tea is created as the root softens.

Genetics and Reproduction

Rock Lilacs can be propagated by planting trimmings during summer. It is ideal to trim them regularly, which thickens their roots and allows for a larger harvest. If not harvested before winter, Rock Lilacs wilt as they go dormant. Leaves regrow in the spring.
