Ice-Crossers

Please mum you've got to believe me! I saw them, 8 of those caravans being dragged by the furry monsters!!

• A child attempts to convince a resident of Garnet that they saw a group of Ice Crossers in the desserts of Kaechaek.

Ice Crossers are large caravans that are fitted with sleds and wheels and perfect for travelling across rough terrain and snowy arctic spaces, these vehicles are specifically found in the Northern Mountains of Kaechaek and often come with attachments that allow them to be rebuilt into carriages and wagons to allow them to be used for transport in warmer climates.
  Typically Ice Crossers are pulled by groups of powerful Polar Displacer Beasts often leaving a rare sight in warmer climates of Kaechaek as arctic monsters pull heavy and powerful carriages across the land.
Ice Crossers are powered by a small engine that moves it's track-like wheels at an easy speed, making it relatively easy for Polar Displacer Beasts to carry the caravans at speed over long distances in pairs, it also means that, in extreme circumstances, the carvans can be easily carried by men who compare it to carrying a thick and heavy rucksack on their backs.

Access & Availability

Ice Crossers are expensive and so used by travelling merchants whom are especially wealthy or by larger convoys and groups making expeditions through the north in the winter or the higher mountain passes.

Discovery

Ice Crossers weren't discovered so much as improved over time after adventurers from Kaechaek travelled to Peridot and Vallea and saw the way they used engines to move large vehicles, this practice was adopted in Kaechaek by feeding magic into small engines to keep the Ice Crossers moving slowly and efficiently.
