The deceptively named Sanctuary's road is a large river that leads down from the majestic barony of
Sanctuary to
The Resting Oasis, it gained it's name both due to it acting as the main route of travel to reach the barony (rather than attempting the treacherous southern mountains) and the way it is still and calm to the point of appearing like a grey road at night due to the lack of moon on
Kaechaek to lower visibility, many people have fallen into the river and died at night for this reason and gave it it's rather macabre but symbolic name.
The Sanctuary Road is also known for not having any life inhabiting it's waters which contributes to it's unnatural stillness as it never resists an oar pushed through it... even the wind seems to die before touching the waters surface. None are sure why it has such unnatural death and stillness associated with it.
