Pan

The god of nature, mostly fauna. Pan prefers to spend his days deep in the woods, revelling in the fruits of nature and playing his famous flute. It calms the animals and keeps any creatures with ill intent at bay. However that is not all it can do, it is said the sound of the flute can also drive creatures completely insane. Pan used to take great pleasure in this back in the old days. However now he has completely devoted himself to the preservation and care of nature's beauty and it's creatures. He often fills in for Yavanna as she no longer enjoys walking the earth in her physical form after all the destruction that's happened over the last centuries.
However he is also not half as serious as she is and he loves a good party, being an exceptionally heavy drinker and enjoyer if sweet things.

Nature, especially it's animals are all under Pan's protection. He will get incredibly violent if any are harmed. He respects honourable hunt but he is against slaughter.

Worship

He is often worshipped deep into the woods on mossy altars. His favorite offerings are ripe fruits and seeds as well as fine wine. He has a temple hidden deep in the elven forest, merged with that of Yavanna.
