General Description
Everdrift was home to a thriving civilization thousands of years ago, some of their architecture remains to this day, the most notable being giant carved animals in the rocky cliffs.
Location
The island is mostly surrounded by tall cliffs although there are many natural inclines and paths dotted around its perimeter. A thick patch of forest lies in the center of the island, wild and overgrown except for a few small areas where villages now exist.
The ruins of what is now called Everdrift sit on the most southern parts of the island, what remains of the stonework features intricate carvings depicting various animals and flowers as well as sea shells and other nautical-themed designs.
History & Origins
It is not known exactly how long ago this settlement was founded or when it was abandoned or why. There is also little that remains to suggest who lived here or where they initially came from. There are many stories and legends about the past inhabitants coming from a faraway land across the sea but there is no evidence to support this.
Art
The cliffs feature similar artwork as seen in the ruins except on an impressively large scale, these carvings range from a few feet in width to staggering hundreds of feet in height and display a number of creatures. Most of them are still intact but some have eroded, cracked or even fallen into the water below.
