Tarsalrun

Tarsalrun is the only substantial village in the Jyn'ak Archipelago, situated on the southeastern shores of one of the larger islands. It primarily serves as a hub for tourists and explorers as a place to rest, repair and restock before heading out into the open seas and into the unknown. Several historical sites litter the island and neighbouring isles and numerous groups of historians seek to venture here to learn more about Naru's past after renowned archaeologist Donai Garau discovered incredibly old and peculiar artefacts in 3802.   Built using the remains of previous settlements, the village makes use of all kinds of materials and structures repurposed for their needs. Most of the islands here are in ruins, long abandoned and anything of value has long since been taken away. Powerful currents run through the water between the archipelago and the rest of the Aardragoon Islands providing an excellent natural defence against would-be invaders. An excellent field of view gives advanced warning of any approaching vessels in the vicinity from any of the 4 watchtowers along the village perimeter.   Arable land in this area is hard to come by and is the main reason Tarsalrun maintains a low population count, unable to support the numbers it once used to decades ago.   This village along with the rest of the islands nearby is under the control of Ketra Morady and her personal guard, who have held this area since the year 3996. They maintain order, carry out their laws and collect taxes from all residents and visitors.
