General Information
The Ancora are the controlling faction of
Orindal and the surrounding areas. They have been in control for just over a century and have fought and won many battles and wars to keep aggressors at bay.
Leadership & Structure
Many leaders have been in charge since the formation of the Ancora faction centuries ago. Certain families such as the Heptor's have had several generations in charge and others much like their current leader are much more situational.
Isabella Napira gained power and influence among the ranks of the warriors eventually filling a power gap left when the then-current leader Octavias Naaludo was slain in battle against a raiding party. She has been in charge of the Ancora now for just over 20 years and remains a strong leader and warrior today.
The most elite warriors make up the leader's personal guard and are known as the Krag, their clothing and armor feature a lot more gold than the rest of the members of the faction and they are usually much better equipped.
History
The roots of the Ancora are much darker than the values they live by today, originating in Whitereach under the name The Scourge, they resided in an almighty fortress and maintained control of the Jyn'ak Archipelago. They took what they wanted, killed any opposing them and destroyed villages of any resisting parties. Their hunger for bloodshed and destruction turned inwards when there was nothing else left and those remaining split into several smaller factions including what is now the Ancora.
In the year 3794, they liberated the town of Orindal from oppressors, acting much like how they used to operate, and claimed the island as their own establishing a new era of law and relative peace.
Insignia
Their insignia features an anchor to symbolise their staying power and the forceful weight they hold in battle. Blue and gold have remained their colouration of choice and are often worn by those who serve them, acting as a simple homage to the sea and their wealth.
Their Code
The moral code of the Ancora is a simple one, to defend their land and their people at all costs. Everyone is treated as a valued member of society until they prove otherwise, those who break the most serious of laws are exiled or put to death.
