General Description
A legendary magical artefact comprised of 9 pieces, one main larger stone and 8 smaller accompanying coins of different sizes and designs. These items are said to have powerful magical properties on their own but devastating outcomes when combined, the full set is said to bring the end of days when all pieces are brought together.
History & Legends
The origins of this interesting stone are unknown, the earliest mention of the webstone is in a book dated in the early 1400s where it describes in detail the central palm-sized stone and the strange visions and powers it seems to bring. Supposedly in the hands of famous pirate Orsik Valedska, gifting him the ability to reign unchallenged for over a century before mysteriously vanishing along with the stone.
Later mentions detail coins with very similar patterns and designs to the webstone showing up not only across
The Aardragoon Islands but mainland
Rayas as well. The accounts of strange visions and strange happenings along with the designs seem to link these devices together in some way.
With each coin featuring a different design, collecting drawings, paintings and stories over the years it is widely believed that there are eight of these coins in existence. The Webstone itself has not been seen since it vanished with Orsik long ago, the coins are all rumoured to be either kept in secret by those who own them or lost in the watery depths waiting to be found.
Abilities & Powers
Some describe strange dreams that later came true or even being able to know what an individual will say before they say it. Other legends say that they gained the ability to exert some control over various animals or even people, had the ability to control powerful elemental creatures and even abilities such as flight.
It is hard to know how many of these documents are based on truth and which ones are pure fantasy or hearsay.
There are stories of those who have combined two or more of the coins together and caused magical energy rifts to other dimensions or started chains of earthquakes or volcanic eruptions that led to countless deaths or accidents.
