Gemogha of the Graced Feathers
Gemogha is a divine creature in the lore of the people of Mumblemack. During 831 SC, more than a dozen people in Garne began having visions of a huge, beautiful bird with radiant blue feathers, that seemed to glow in the dark. It would sometimes be standing in front of them, before taking off and dropping a feather, which would touch their heads and they would glow a warm divine radiance. They would wake and find a strange new mark in the shape of a blue feather had manifested somewhere on their person, and find that they had developed minor to mild talents of healing, nuturing crops, etc. Over the next three decades, a number of children were born to a these Gifted goblins, and they also bore the mark and developed divine gifts, while a number of other people had visions of the bird and similarly manifested gifts.
The Expedition
After more than thirty years, these Gifted were curious to find this beautiful creature and find out if Gemogha (whose name they instinctively woke knowing from their visions), was divine in nature, some sort of archyfey, or a natural being. Some of them faced ostracision from the other people of Garne, some of whom were distrustful of these gifts from an unknown source. Some felt certain that Gemogha must be a god, and wished to offer them devotion. This led to an expedition setting off in 1632 SC. They travelled for more than five years, listening for rumours and hunting through areas of supposed sightings, before several of The Graced began to have visions which led them to a riverside area next to the Kerfar Lydd River. There was much debate, but the visions, which showed a prosporous and thriving settlement, and further feathers, seemed to urge them to stay, so eventually in 1636 SC they founded Mumblemack
