The Graced

The Graced was the name given to those who had received visions of Gemogha of the Graced Feathers and manifested their gifts. They could be identified through their birthmark/tattoo like markings in the shape of blue feathers.
The Plumed was a colloqiual name given to those who were born from other Graced and also manifested these gifts. They grew up in Garne and among the expedition, receiving a certain amount of respect, reverence, and privilege, and this often led them to become a little arrogant and to treat others like second-class citizens. Several of them took leadership positions during the expedition and the early years in Mumblemack.
In contrast, those who developed visions and gifts in adulthood (in the years after the first Graced manifested), were called the Scattergrace. While those without gifts often admired or were envious of them, the Plumed often looked down on them and saw their gifts as inferior. (And since these people had had less time to practice and did not grow up with their gifts, or receive the same encouragement to practice their new talents, they often were less competent in comparision.)
