Gossamereen

Gossamerren is a magical material extracted with difficulty from certain cloud formations in the Elemental Plane of Air. It was and is used to create Flying Cities (though this is extremely rare in the present age), and to create Skyships. Historically, only creatures with intense magics that come from the Air plane have been able to extract it, though there have been the rare exception. The material is exceptionally rare, and jealously guarded by those who possess a small quantity.

It resembles a cross between thistledown and iron wool.
