Mayeeta Wolves

The Mayeeta Wolves were a dangerous species of wolfkind that roamed within The Ommiknit during The Era of Tranquility. They were significantly larger, and sometimes more intelligent, than present-day wolves, and posed a serious threat to peoples like The Rootbound who lived within the mother forest.

Some believe that the Mayeeta wolves were shaped by a deity with a particular disdain for humanoid life, but others believe this to be a myth. It is however true that they preyed dispropotionately on any humaniod settlements they found, such as Sehraya, even when easier prey seemed available. Some have even theorised that these wolves were created to scare or hurt The Rootbound, to put them off from settling in The Ommiknit.
