Merret Pin-Tailed
Merret Pin-Tailed was an Aarakocra who lived in Nisr during The Era of Tranquility. They became council leader in 384 ET, following the death of Fikra Jade-Wattled.
Merret was a long-term member of the Far-Sighted, generally trusted and seen as reliable. They were felt by the council to be an excellent choice to maintain the stability of the city. Their talents were challenged when the collapse of the Empire of the Kolloh Twins led to refugees from the Elemental Plane of Air flocking to Nisr, and the failure of harvests in mid 440s ET. They were able to maintain their rule, and prevent violence and uprisings, but lost popularity as living conditions became harder.
Merret died of illness in 448 ET and was replaced by Tessa Saffron-Crowned. It is believed that the stress of coping with both the significant swelling of the population after the collapse of the empire, and then the failure of harvests, contributed to their death.
