The City of Eversummer

Industry & Trade

Due to its position along the River Grande Myierand and along the main road from the northern entrance to Heavensforge, Eversummer produces most of its trade income by trading with both the Heavensforge and the many other dwarven and gnomish settlements both within the cities territory in Rapiers Ridge Valley and around the Heavenfall Sea. This affords the city access to many magical items that the dwarves make and also the oft sought after Demi ore and Godsteel which many cities all over Daemos and beyond covet, allowing Eversummer to use its port and road connections to the north to make much profit. 
Eversummer also has its own industries in its logging sites within Eversummer Wood that allow it to harvest the hardy wood form the many species of trees of the woods which is used in furniture, weapons and building materials all of which are of high quality. Eversummer also has its own extensive mining network around the villages and towns of Rapiers Ridge Valley which gains the city ores for smelting and their own small quantities of Demi-ore.

History

The City of Eversummer was founded as a small fishing village by Maarcu Vardofal of the Kingdom of Myier, upon where the River Eversum meets the River Grandemyier in 3524 AGD as refugees started making their way from the eastern lands now under the heel of the dragons in hopes of trading with the dwarves for the recently discovered Godsteel to make their fortunes. By 3762 AGD the village had grown into a respectable town through both the wealth gained from the co-operation with dwarves and gnomes of the area, and the nearby woodland with an abundance of materials for housing and warmth for the cold months.
Eversummer had become a small city by the height of the Kingdom of Corv where the king of Corv Eruk Gerhal made Eversummer his capital where it would remain the capital of Corv up until its dissolution in 5286 AGD where the city of Eversummer came under the Lord-Protectors, an elected leader who is chosen to devote his life to the city.
