Terraforming of Lxile Fails

Two years after beginning the terraforming process on Lxile, there was a catastrophic failure in the program running the equipment. At this point, all crew who had installed the equipment were off the planet and had returned to their temporary space station installed in its atmosphere to observe the process. They discovered later that there was a problem in the terraforming code that would not allow it to continue with the process as it believed it could not continue.
Unable to fix the problem in the code, the crew reported the issue and the process was abandoned so the error could be repaired.
