Aumia has been controlled by many powers. The Deccan have always been the major populace on the planet, but their political ambitions have been overshadowed by many different conquerers.
But during the restoration the Deccan people were finally masters off Aumia. While Aumia was a diverse planet with many cultures, the Deccans used divide and conquer strategies to stay in control for a long time.
In their desire to become a major power they started quickly developing the industry of the planet at around 3500. Hoping that it would give them the tools required to challenge their neighbors. However the grand mining projects caused the planet to become dirty and they found that the elite and the rich on the planet tended to move their aquired wealth away from the planet.
Things went from bad to worse when in 3580 the Aisu-Bara kingdom conquered them.
Ever since the Deccan have served the Aisu-Barans. After being conquered the Aisu-Barans have promised the Deccan's a chance to grow to importance together with them. Most seem content with this promise, but other Deccans are growing impatient as Aisu-Bara has become just a vassal of The Empire.
