Dai Seirei

Dai Seirei is the highest rank amongst the worshippers of Ayuka.

Appointment

Once every twenty years there's a phenomenom known as a green moon, when the moon Leven is imbued with the primal energies of nature. On that day, a new Dai Seirei is proclaimed in the crystal home of radiance, a room of the Kaidan Niwa with a giant skylight on top.

Duties

The Dai Seirei is the spokesperson of the Lady of Thorns. As such they are sworn never to lie and keep her message true.

Responsibilities

The Dai Seirei is responsible for the growth and well-being of the forests that surround the Kaidan Niwa. Moreover, they are sworn to protect all sanctuaries of the Caregiver and will act as generals of the army of the Mononoke in case of major attack.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

A Dai Seirei that harms any sort of life out of malice is not only dismissed, but they are to be executed.

History

Akane Minato, the third ever Dai Seirei was a remarkable stain in the reputation of the Dai Seirei. She betrayed the Lady of Thorns and endangered the sacred forest of Rin'ne in pursue of riches. She was caught and dismissed and after that incident the rule of execution of traitors was set in place.
