Ryūkan

The Ryūkan is the name of the clerical order that worships Ryūji, The Bladefather.

Structure

The rank of a ryūjite is determined by their god himself. As a ryūjite achieves syncrhony with each element of nature their blade changes in color, determining it's wielder's rank. These ranks go as follows:

Kokkuto. Kokkuto blades turn black with hues of a brownish red, announcing that their master has domained all of the elements. This is an achivement only a few select people can get.
Ikazuchi no Tsurugi. Ikazuchi's have achieved the nearest state of full elemental domain. This is the rank of high priests of the Ryūkan. The blade turns a deep purple hue and streaks of lightning adorn it's blade.
Enkai. Enkai wielders have passed by fire and molded their blade by it. Their blades turn burgundy and feel hot to the touch.
Zantetsu. Zantetsus have attained their second achivement, cutting through metal. Their blades turn a light brown color.
Shisui. Shisui holders obtained their first grand achivement, reigning over their while underwater as if they were outside of it. Their blades show a deep blue pigmentation accompanied by cresting wave designs.
Kazeshini. Kazeshinis have just laid their hands on their blades and their bond is still ripe. The blades colorations is light green with streaks of wind in white cover the blade's surface.

Tenets of Faith

Rei (Respect). There's no honor in cruelty or showing off. Show everyone courtesy, even your worst enemies.
Yu (Courage). Rise above those who fear to act. A warrior must have a courageous heart.
Meiyo (Honor). Your most important virtue. There is only one judge of your honor, you. You will know when you have failed yourself.
Jundo (Purity). Keep your blade in shape as in a perpetual state of untaintedness.

Sects

Tasogare. An order of warriors focused on the banishment of evil aligned creatures.
Bladesingers. A reclusive order of swordsmiths who dedicate their lives to the keeping of blades, keeping the Bladesong.
