Session III: Into the Mines Report

General Summary

Our party fought off the drow guards at the entrance of the cave, which due to the spells used, began collapsing.

The party saw themselves compelled to take a quick decision. Alt'Dorf with his knowledge of stone, determined that the cave wouldn't collapse fully and run into it. So did Medan and Styxx following their companion. On the other hand, Kiber decided to run outside, fearing the cave would collapse onto them.

Now separated from Kiber, Alt'Dorf, Medan and Styxx proceeded down the cave, which in a moment switched it's whole aspect to a more faerical one.

They found a disturbing painting of a monstruous entity on the wall of an opening filled with water. While they were examining it, they heard a splashing sound in the water and saw their friend, Kiber who had fallen from a hole on the ceiling. However, their friend was entranced and didn't pay attention to them. Alt'Dorf knocked her on the knee to wake her up. She awoke and told her allies how she heard a call from the Mother of Fairies as the world around her turned into her home plane.

After a brief discussion they noticed a young woman curled up into herself looking at the scene scared from a corner. She recounted how she had a similar experience to that of Kiber's and how she awoke in a drow prison cell. She then described how she was offered as a meal to the entity drawn on the wall but managed to run away.

While listening to the girls story, they heard steps behind them and prepared to deal with some drow guards. During the battle, reinforcements were called by the drow. Knowing this, Alt'Dorf decided to collapse the mouth of the cave, but his plan backfired and he was buried in rubble before the astonished look of their companions.

Distraught and having lost a friend, they now ponder their options to get out of the hell hole in which they are trapped.
