Almina'val

This confederation of states, controlling both the Kearlet Wilds and Ghazain Steppe, arose when a warlord named Alma was able to unite the ever-warring Elven clans in response to an increasingly interconnected global political environment. Notably, she advocated for a shift in focus from inter-clan conquest to one where they would collectively profit from joint naval ventures.   As it turns out, the fine control of woodcraft common to most elves was well-suited to shipbuilding, and despite the relatively young age of the confederation, it quickly became a significant naval power.   Alma, who famously professes herself to be half wood-elven and half high-elven, lives currently, and retains political control of Alminan member states by way of profitable joint ventures. However, some worry about her growing age, and assassination fears weigh heavier on her mind now than they may have at the beginning of her political ascension. Almina'val is a significant world power, but its future is far from certain.

Values

In keeping with a martial history, Almina'val places high value on martial prowess and individual bravery. Often, valor within their 4- to 12-person war bands is rewarded with incredible social status or material wealth upon returning home. Views on gender are fluid and generally inclusive, though some of the member clans retain stubbornly patriarchal or matriarchal power structures internally.
