The Nurturing of War

It is said that, early on in her life, Cevena was mortally wounded after attempting to battle a greater Angel over some perceived offense. Unable to find her “parents,” Aeshlir and Keris, to help her, Cevena went to the last place she thought she could. It was at Layoya’s doorstep that Cevena finally collapsed.
Upon finding Cevena at her door, Layoya looked upon her, and felt an incredible pity. Layoya then nurtured her back to health, providing unto her such liquors and salves as were appropriate.

Cultural Reception

It is from this that the phrase, “Death is War’s Last Friend” came about, and the wise men and women of the world know it to be true, especially those whose actions have led to the latter.
