Jinn

Jinns are the most common kind of Devil, usually displaying the trademark features of red-skin, horns, and a pointed tail.

Anatomy & Morphology

Jinns usually have red, hardened skin that can develop scales across their limbs. Horns sometimes adorn their heads that grow in various straight or curled shapes, whilst their eyes are often bright orange, red, or brown. Their hair colours ranged from brown to black, with some going white in old age. Devils have the innate ability to cast Shadow Magic, a darkness-based magic that is stronger in the absence of light. It is highly effective and potent, appearing as a black cloud sometimes with accents the same colour as their skin. It is an extremely trick-orientated magic, excelling in illusions, short-range teleportation, and sometimes mind control.   Some rare Devils are born with bright blue or green skin, which also causes their magic to be the same colour. Lack of research and occurance into this phenomen means it is unexplained, although some Devils believe it is a sign of power or greatness. Jinns are the only Devils that can possess other sentient beings, making their natural form disappear and allowing them to reside in and control another body. Alternatively they can compel weaker minds to do their bidding without possessing them at all. Both of these acts are illegal without consent under Concord law. Compulsion is really only used between Jinn's and 'lesser' Devils as contracts of employment or work. Angels, or any species with an Angelic mark on them, are immune to compulsion.
